COBA is a proud supporter of the week which promotes the importance of financial literacy and encourages Australians to review their budgets and plans for the future.

“MoneySmart Week takes the hassle out of sorting out household finances with simple tips and tools for all ages,” Acting COBA CEO Mark Degotardi said.

“While talking about money might not be a hot conversation topic, spending just a few minutes on money matters this week could make a real difference.”

The MoneySmart Week Challenge asks Australians to pick one area of their finances they know needs work and take on that challenge.

Challenges include addressing debt, sorting out super, budgeting and managing money, saving and investing, protecting assets through insurance and planning ahead.

There is also a challenge for Under 18s and a Female Financial Fitness challenge.
