COBA today congratulated Greater Bank and People’s Choice Credit Union on their success at the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards last night.

Greater Bank took out the Bank of the Year Award in recognition of its customer satisfaction ratings which reached as high as 95% during the year.

People’s Choice was named Credit Union of the Year, after being ranked by Roy Morgan as the best credit union for customer service from July to December last year.

“Greater and People’s Choice are fine examples of what customer owned banking is all about,” COBA CEO Mark Degotardi said.

“They offer highly competitive and innovative products, meet the needs of their customers and give back to the communities where they do business.

“The customer owned model allows us to invest in our customers. Our sector runs strong and profitable businesses that are focused on the customer and delivering for them.

“Greater and People’s Choice can be proud of the way they are delivering for their customers and local communities.

“Across the sector, customer owned banking is the proven market leader on customer satisfaction; with ratings much higher than the big four banks.”
